Capital FM has unveiled its new crop of talent following a move to revamp the station as it launches a new strategic direction. 

The new presenters who were revealed on Monday, February 15, were tapped locally and abroad and are part of a well-crafted campaign dubbed "Drive Inn, Drive Out”, according to Capital FM Head of Radio Programs, Danny Munyi.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Munyi said that the new team will bring back quality radio as envisioned by the station’s management.

He said Capital FM becomes the first radio station to launch its first full voice app for voice command controlled smart devices - Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, and google assistant.

“Capital FM has the largest digital footprint, and a target audience that enjoys the luxuries that come with technological advancements and being cognizant of this fact meant it was necessary for us to align Capital FM with the direction the world is taking,” Munyi said.

Soni Adriance

Soni Adriance, also known as Soni Side Up, began her entertainment career in digital media running a food/drink, travel, and lifestyle Instagram page.

She is passionate about the entertainment industry, what’s hot, and interpersonal relationships which are some of the topics that listeners will hear her talk about.

“From Soni you can expect quick wit and the occasional mile-a-minute rant. Soni will be our resident roving presenter. You can catch her on Capital In The Morning, The Fuse, The Jam or The Hype shows,” the station stated.

June Gachui

June Gachui is one of Kenya’s most sought-after entertainers; consummate performing artiste, singer-songwriter, thespian and aspiring dancer.

She is also a celebrated speaker having featured on platforms such as Engage Kenya. She is aiming to be a key voice in bringing radio back to the heart of the entertainment industry.​

Her love affair with radio, music, theatre, and the arts spans over two decades. Being on radio provides a perfect opportunity to further explore her creative abilities.

She will be a presenter on The Jam​ alongside Martin Kariuki every Monday to Thursday from 3 pm  to 7 pm.

Davina Leonard

Davina Leonard first caught Capital FM’s eye when she was interviewed at the station about her short film, ‘Poacher’, now streaming on Netflix. 

She impressed when she was offered an internship position at Capital FM.

Davina is a trained actor, freelance producer and lover of coffee. She will be teaming up with Fareed Khimani on Capital In The Morning from Monday to Friday 6 am to 10 am.

Nadia Favre

Nadia Favre is a radio host, podcaster and producer who is passionate about voicing animations and championing female-driven art. 

She is the voice behind the witty, whimsical podcast ‘Cut The Foreplay’ which ran on digital platforms for four years before making the big leap to radio. 

She started off her career at Kenya’s only Rock station 105.5 XFM, and her hobbies include yoga, sailing & being consistently inappropriate. 

Nadia will be hosting The Fuse alongside Anne Mwaura every weekday from 10 am to 2 pm.
