Kennedy Odhiambo alias Crazy Kennar on Friday, April 16 released one of his satirical videos that featured Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka depicting a rather intriguing side of the politician.

Kenyans.co.ke spoke to Edwin Omondi, Crazy Kennar's manager, who revealed the details of how a chance to act with Kalonzo came to be.

"Kalonzo's team reached out to us. They told us that the party leader wanted to meet and discuss various issues regarding the creative industry," Omondi stated.

The meeting was also based on how to improve the film industry, content creation, and formulation of policies that can impact the youth.

After the meeting, Kennar's team requested if Kalonzo could perform in a comical video to depict his perceived 'watermelon' nature, to which he agreed.

The video titled Ukipanga Form na Chopi (When you make plans with the smart kid in school), showed Kennar stumbling upon Kalonzo outside class as they both plot on the best excuses to tell the teacher for not submitting their assignments.

Kalonzo, pretending to be in the same boat with Kennar, approved the plan but backed out later, a well-choreographed script portraying Kalonzo's perceived fence-sitting tag.

"Today I got an opportunity to do a video with His Excellency Kalonzo Musyoka and it was a very humbling opportunity as we interacted," stated Kennar.

Kalonzo also reflected on the opportunity to meet with the talented team who he lauded for uplifting the local creative industry to the next level.

"I have always loved local content from the days of Vitimbi, Redykyulass, Real Househelps of Kawangware. I believe artists represent society by showing our humorous side of life. During this lockdown, just like all industries, they have been affected yet they continue to bring joy...

"It was a pleasure meeting some content creators and listening on how we can improve the creative industry as a youth empowerment opportunity. Thank you to all the artists out there who enable us to laugh and to those starting out, your big break is coming, just keep at it," Kalonzo stated.

The video also elicited reactions among Kenyans who were quick to note Kalonzo's acting skills.

"Wait! Kalonzo is now doing comedy?

"2022 is here and politicians are back on the ground. After Kalonzo, next Sonko, and Waititu will make a video with Embarambamba.

"In that short clip with crazy Kennar, Kalonzo expresses the water Mellon character 100 percent," read some of the comments online.

The comedian has also had a chance to act with Deputy President William Ruto at his Karen home in May 2019. Ruto, acting as Kennar's father, depicted a strict dad after Kennar revealed that he wanted to drop out of school to pursue comedy.
