"Officially I am at Nation FM, I am back on radio, " he stated with much vigor in his voice.

The presenter however, kept mum on the intricate details regarding the show, but entailed that it was based on the direction Nation Media Group is taking in terms of offering content for its viewers

"I'll tell you this, the show will be a celebration of heritage and culture that is Nation FM, and the new culture that we have right now as young Kenyans.

"From the likes of Teddy Muthusi to Ngatia in the past to the new generation of talents," Maqbul stated.

Maqbul is known for his legendary roles in TV shows such as Reflections, Makutano Junction and Auntie Boss whereby his roles captivated audiences across the country.

Further, Maqbul had also spent over ten years as a radio presenter at Capital FM, having announced his exit at the station on May 31, 2019.

"One last time at Capital FM, tune in now," Maqbul stated when he announced his final show at the station.

The media space in the past year has experienced drastic changes as both celebrated and fresh journalists have decamped to different media houses in order to stake their claim within the media industry.
