"Some personal news! Today, I leave CGTN Africa a better person than I was months ago, with greater insight on digital media," she stated.

"Forever grateful for the opportunity. Excited about the next phase of my career. God takes all the glory."

Media counterparts and Kenyans online lauded her for the move and wished her the best in the next phase of her career.

"Awesome news. To God be Glory. You have unlimited potential. Go on!"

"Grace you are making big moves like Larry Madowo, keep pushing the envelope," read some of the comments.

Before joining the Chinese-owned media house, Kuria established herself at Standard Media Group as a news anchor for two years.

She announced her departure from KTN News on January 11, 2021, during a live news bulletin.

"I take this opportunity to say thank you to God, thank you to my family. Thank you to Standard Group management."

"Thank you to my colleagues and thank you to you my viewer for all the love, criticism and words of encouragement," she stated at the time.

Kuria started her career at Mediamax's K24 television.
