"I have had lunch with her and encouraged her for the courage she had. I will support her to ensure she fulfills her dreams that she has.

"She is a friend whether it is a job or business, I will support her," he stated.

Additionally, he revealed that Lydia had expressed interest in joining politics, expressing that he would mentor her in her future political career.

"Lydia will be the next woman rep of Kisii county or the replacement of my friend South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro. Her courage and charisma will take her places,"  he expressed.

On her part, Lydia thanked the legislator for his kind gesture adding that the move will help elevate her standards of living.

Lydia went viral on social media on Monday, October 17, after she was captured holding a placard asking the first-term legislator to marry her.

Consequently, the legislator promised to invite the daring lady for lunch at the Parliament buildings in a bid to find more details about her life.

"It takes courage and bravery to speak your mind in broad light. I congratulate her on the steps. May God Bless this young girl."

"You deserve the best. Tomorrow I invite you for a lunch in the parliament buildings. You will have the privilege to have lunch with members," he stated then.
