A 74-year-old German man was found dead in his home in Olosurutia in Kajiado.

The lifeless body of the man was discovered by his house help who was alarmed when he did not wake up on Tuesday, March 14.

The 74-year-old had flown to Kenya on Sunday, March 12, and was reported to have scheduled to travel to Malindi to close a deal on a piece of land he was buying.

Moreover, after an alarm from the domestic manager,  police officers at the scene revealed that he had been found in his bed lying on his back without any physical injuries.

Additionally, the detectives noted that there were assorted medications in his luggage.

The officers stated that they were investigating the matter to determine the last moments of the German and determine the cause of death.

"We are trying to establish how many people were in the house when he died. We are also investigating if the deceased had an underlying medical condition," the police officer assigned to the case stated.

However, that was not an isolated case as another German national was found dead in his Kjiado home on Wednesday, March 15, morning.

The 80-year-old who was living with his daughter-in-law at the time he was reported to have been attacked by unknown assailants

The lifeless body of the man, who had been a resident of Kajiado for the past four years, was discovered by a security guard who spotted traces of blood at the door of the house.

Confirming the incident, Kajiado Central Sub-county Police Commander Daudi Loronyokwe stated that the man was found with several stab wounds and his eyes gouged out.

Loronyokwe added that the man’s hands were tied to his bed when he was found.

Police officers were alerted by the man’s daughter-in-law who also reported that the house had been ransacked and the deceased's laptop stolen.

“I regret to inform you of the unfortunate incident that resulted in the loss of life. Locals and his neighbours are familiar with the deceased. All preliminary investigations point to a brutal murder.

"The widespread blood stains indicate a possible struggle from the sitting room to the bedroom. The house has been ransacked, and all we know so far is that the deceased laptop is missing,” Loronyokwe stated.

Investigations on both incidents are ongoing to determine the cause of death of both foreigners.
