Well-wishers, on Friday, June 9, unveiled the revamped house of a young family with triplets in Kieni East in Nyeri.

The plight of the young man with no stable job yet blessed with triplets, in his wife's first pregnancy, touched the hearts of Kenyans who embarked on building them a proper house.

Their previous house was made from wood with huge gags between the timber, which overwhelmed the couple.

"These triplets are their firstborn, and they live in a wanting house. Please, my friend, I beg you to do something in your power for this young family," a neighbour reached out to well-wishers.

Led by philanthropist and gospel musician Karangu Muraya, the family will now live in a new mabati house, an upgrade from their previous structure.  Well-wishers also built more rooms and cemented the floor.

The construction of the house began in May 2023, with Kenyans contributing to ensure that the family got a better place to live in.

"Soon by the grace of God, our Kieni triplets will be living in a beautiful home," Karangu updated.

A local mabati company donated the materials to finish building the house for the young family of five.

Kieni East Member of Parliament Njoroge Wainaina Chieni also blessed the young family with a goat.

According to the young father, he always desired twins, and God blessed him with triplets. Before the marriage, the mother was a National Youth Service (NYS) student.

"When I took my wife to the hospital, the doctor told me she was carrying triplets and I had only bought clothes for two children," he stated.

On the other hand, the young mother detailed that residents often discouraged her due to the condition of her husband's home and financial situation.

"When a friend told me I would have twins, I downplayed the idea only to be shocked when I got to the hospital, and the doctor told me I would give birth to triplets. When I told my mother-in-law, she assured me that we would raise the kids together," she narrated.
