President Yoweri Museveni was on Friday, June 23, inspired by Pastor Dorcas Rigathi's ministerial work, philanthropy and activism after she preached at an event at State House, Uganda.

Speaking during the launch of the Jesus’ Africa book authored by Museveni's daughter, Patience Rwabwogo, the head of state described Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's wife as a firebrand and a powerful cadre.

He was marvelled by her vibrance while recounting meeting her at the inauguration of President William Ruto on September 13, 2022.

Museveni added that he would emulate her skill while managing Uganda, despite being at the helm for over 37 years.

“And I am very happy to see Pastor Rigathi. I didn’t know we have a firebrand in Kenya. When we were swearing in their new government, she didn’t speak.

"Now, I am surprised to see a very powerful cadre here. I will take advantage of your pastoring skills," Museveni stated.

Pastor Dorcas toured Uganda as a keynote speaker during the book's launch.

She commended Museveni and his wife, Janet Kataaha, for nurturing their daughter under Christian values.

She detailed that the book would go a long way in empowering Africans as it details her journey in Christianity and calling to serve.

"Patience prophetically envisions a rising African continent, echoing the divine revelation she received in 2005, which inspired her to pen this book.

"We celebrate her parents, for nurturing such a rare gem. Indeed, it is said that you shall know them by their fruits," she stated.

Former Kenyan High Commissioner to Uganda, Kiema Kilonzo, accompanied Pastor Dorcas to the event.

In an interview with Ugandan media, New Vision, Museveni's daughter stated that the book was inspired by online messages she received during the lockdown enforced amid the pandemic.

"We transcribed the messages into a book, and the Lord convicted me to include my journey.

"It is easy to teach, but to share your personal journey is opening yourself up to be vulnerable. That was a bit of a challenge for me," she told New Vision.
