Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya (70%) and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga (70%) have been ranked as the best-performing county bosses by research firm Infotrak.

In a report released on Tuesday, the research firm noted that participants in the survey ranked the two in service delivery.

West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin (67%), Kisii Governor Simba Arati (64%), and Murang'a Governor Irungu Kang'ata(64%) closed the top 5 in that order.

The ranking indicated that first-term governors floored second-term governors with key projects lined up and launched by the county bosses.

Embattled Meru Governor Kawira MwAngaza moved from 38 to 8 in the ranking despite her tribulations.

Infotrak released a survey on Monday ranking counties' performance with counties Trans Nzoia and Homabay Counties topping the list.

The performance in various sectors is attributed to projects launched by counties including in the health sector and infrastructure.
