Riara Group of Schools has flagged a fake job recruitment advert that did rounds on various social media platforms for the better part of Friday.

In a statement dated Saturday, members of the public were advised to disregard the fake post as the posters did not emanate from the institution.

"It has been brought to our attention that unscrupulous individuals are disseminating counterfeit job advertisements, falsely attributing them to the Riara Group of Schools," read the statement in part.

The fake job advert purportedly stated that the Group of Schools had embarked on a mass recruitment of teachers for its schools.

In taming the spread of the fake advert, Kenyans were encouraged to desist from sharing the poster any further.

Kenyans can look up authentic job opportunities at the Riara Group of School's website: riaraschools.ac.ke. By the same token, Kenyans can also follow the group's social media handles for official communication.

On most occasions, scammers come up with fake adverts to swindle Kenyans of their hard-earned money.

Notably, fraudsters occasionally target prestigious institutions with a stellar reputation such as Riara's to con unsuspecting Kenyans.

Riara Group of Schools has 8 institutions under it which have become beacons of academic excellence, regularly posting exemplary results in national examinations.

For instance, in the just-released Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, Riara Springs Girls' High School sent 115 of the total 122 candidates to university after they all scored C+ and above.

The school had a mean score of 8.96, an improvement from 2022's 8.3.

On the other hand, Michael Warutere from Riara Springs Academy emerged as the top candidate in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), after scoring 428 marks.
