Cape Media Africa, which oversees TV47 and Radio 47, has named media expert Kennedy Bahati as its new creative director.
With over a decade of experience in the media industry, Bahati will take on the responsibility of developing digital strategies aimed at positioning Cape Media ahead of its competitors.
During his tenure at RMS, Bahati played a key role in identifying monetisation opportunities within the station's brands. In his new role, he will be expected to apply his expertise to exploit the digital landscape and unlock potentially lucrative revenue streams.
"With an extensive skill set that encompasses audio-visual production, graphics, animation, and enhanced sales support through compelling proposal writing and effective pitches, Kenny has carved a niche for himself in the competitive media landscape," read a statement from Cape Media.
"His expertise in AI further positions him as a trailblazer, capable of crafting cutting-edge solutions that align with evolving market trends and consumer behaviours."

TV47 has been relentless in its push to tap into the pool of talent in the industry, after hiring a new stable of stars who have catapulted its popularity.
These include former Citizen TV anchor Willis Raburu, former KTN News anchor Fred Indimuli, former ATG Radio host Elizabeth Mutuku and sports anchor Tony Kwalanda.
The latest data from the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) shows that TV47, which was launched in 2019, was featured among the top five most-watched stations in 2023.
Citizen TV led the market with 90 per cent, followed by NTV (61 per cent), KTN Home (52 per cent), TV 47 (32 per cent) and KBC (32 per cent).
