Gideon Moi to Hold Meeting with Isaac Ruto in Narok County

Days after announcing that KANU would support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election, the party’s chairman Gideon Moi will on Monday hold a meeting with Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.

Moi and Ruto are set to travel to Narok county, where they will attend a ceremony at the home of Narok West MP Patrick Ntutu in Olopirik area.

This in spite of the fact that Ruto has recently been flirting with the NASA team which KANU has since denounced.

The Governor and the senator are, however, united in their criticism of Deputy President William Ruto.

Gideon and Isaac will be joined by rebel Jubilee MPs including West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo, Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno, his Kuresoi counterpart Zakayo Cheruiyot and KANU Secretary General Nick Salat.

The camp is reported to be planning to work together to ensure the Jubilee party gets a reduced number of seats in the Rift Valley.

The loss of Jubilee in loal seats, they hope, will present the DP as losing grip of the Rift Valley bloc and ultimately dilute his 2022 presidential bid.
