"I Forgive You," Kaimenyi Tells Sossion

The in-house conflict in Education sector has taken a new turn.

This is after Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi said he has forgiven Kenya National Union of Teachers Secretary General Wilson Sossion over an alleged abusive text message.

According to The Standard, Kaimenyi had reported Sossion to the Director of Criminal Investigations for abusing him and disregarding his position as a Cabinet Secretary last week.

Investigations by the detectives had led to the confiscation of Sossion's phone. High court later ordered that the phone be given back to him.

The CS seems to have had a change of heart however, explaining that his decision to forgive Sossion was arrived to create harmony as the two are partners in the Ministry of Education.

“Whether he apologizes or not, that is up to him. I have nothing against him since this is not a personal matter,” he added.

Kaimenyi was speaking to the press at Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development.

He argued that while every individual may have their own ideology, the differences should not be used to bring division.
