Musician Jaguar and Mututho Allegedly Reject Sh 100M Bribe

NACADA chairman John Mututho has pointed out that he turned down 100 million shillings bribe together with Kenyan singer Jaguar.

Mututho has also echoed the singer's remarks that some senior officials at the parastatal were indeed corrupt.

According to a Star report, Mututho admitted that himself, Jaguar and other unnamed persons were to pocket over Sh100 million last week, but they stood firm and rejected the offer.

The NACADA boss has also refuted claims that he is at 'war' with Jaguar, further saying that he has no issue with Jaguar's resignation notice.

Mututho has also hailed Jaguar, noting that he is not a cheap person and that corrupt individuals cannot afford him.

He has vowed to personally meet President Uhuru Kenyatta and hand him the names of senior corrupt individuals before going public with the list.

His remarks come days after Jaguar issued a two-week resignation notice citing massive corruption at the anti-drug agency.

The flashy musician outlined that “Nacada has become the black hole where outright corruption and looting of public funds has taken priority”.

He is further quoted saying that when he reported the matter to the board he was informed that the mode of operation is either “you quit or turn a blind eye and be part” of the ongoing massive corruption.

The popular musician was appointed by president Uhuru Kenyatta as a board director at NACADA in April.
