Sh2 Million Reward For This Man

Government has placed Sh2 Million reward for anyone with information on a terror suspect identified as Mohamed Kunow Yussuf .

Through the official twitter handle, Interior Ministry circulated Kunow's picture who is also as Abu Ali, asking Kenyans who know of his whereabouts to alert the security agencies.

The Government said that Mohammed Kunow Yussuf is the leader of a new Al-Shabaab unit in North Eastern Kenya that has been planning mass evictions in the region.

Security agencies from the Anti-terror unit suspect that he was sent by Al-Shabaab leaders based in Somalia to strengthen the cell referred to as Mustapha Atto Network.

Police also revealed that the new unit operated from Wajir and it had been recruiting young people in the North Eastern region.

This comes after Kenyan troops operating under AMISOM killed 15 suspected Al-Shabaab militants and injured several others in Somalia.

On Sunday the Kenya Defence Forces Spokesperson , Col David Obonyo, said that the Kenyan soldiers captured Jilib town, struck and killed 15 militants before destroying two boats used by the terrorists.

Jilib was the only remaining Al-Shabaab headquarters in lower Shabelle as noted by the KDF.
