With the March 2019 KMTC intake edging in, interested candidates are advised to apply for their courses in the official KMTC portal, www.kmtc.ac.ke, early enough to avoid last minute the rush often experienced.
This article provides in-depth details on how to register to the portal, upload details and register for courses for first-time applicants.
If it is your first time logging into the KMTC Portal, you have to create a new account to access the services listed in there.
Requirements for creating a new account
To create your account, it is important to use your valid personal email address that is familiar to you.

Visit KMTC Website i.e. www.kmtc.ac.ke

Click on the application portal on the top right side of the website.

If you do not have an account, click Register in the form provided and fill in your details as required then submit. You’ll be redirected into a personal details form which you fill and submit.

If you have an account, click Login and input your email address and password.
Application Process for First Timers (Pre-service)

Go to the portal's dashboard.

On the left sidebar of the dashboard, click on the tab Application then click Apply Pre-service.

Fill in your KCSE subject scores correctly and click submit.

You’ll be redirected to uploads section. Upload 4 documents as guided by the system. You are required to use original documents

You’ll be redirected to My Uploads page. Here, review your uploads and make any changes you need to.

Click to submit your uploads. It is important to note that once you submit uploads you can no longer change them.

Click Next: proceed to make application

Select level (Certificate or Diploma), Select Calendar, Select Intake and click Next.

Select the courses option. If you want to apply for choice 2, select course and or click skip option to skip choice 2

Pay Kshs 2,022 to pay bill number 964150 and enter the account number carefully. The account number will be available to you in the dashboard after you have logged into your account.

You’ll be redirected to My Application Page, where you’ll review your applications. You’re presented with 2 options in the action column of the table Submit or Reject. Click Submit button to send your application if all your details are correct. In case of any error in your application, click on the reject tab to delete the application and start the process afresh.

On submission, you’ll receive confirmation SMS on your phone number.

To apply for your courses, you will be required to upload;

KCSE Certificate or Results Slip (2018 candidates only).

Leaving Certificate.

National ID or Birth Certificate front page.
