The Foreign Affairs Ministry, on Monday, raised the alarm over a number of social media accounts that were impersonating CS Monica Juma.
Taking to their social media, the Ministry stated that the accounts had been used to defraud unsuspecting Kenyans.
"Our attention has been drawn to a number of social media accounts that are impersonating the CS Amb Monica Juma. Unfortunately, these accounts are being used to solicit money from unsuspicious individuals," the statement read in part.
The Ministry noted that the CS had only one Twitter account and no Facebook account.
"We therefore urge anyone with information on those operating the account below or any other account to share with us or investigating agencies for action," they held.
Echoing the plea, the DCI urged those who had been defrauded through the fake accounts to report to their offices.
"Detectives from the Cyber Crime Unit have commenced investigations to ensure the perpetrators are dealt with according to the law," the police divulged.
The revelation comes, after Interior CS Fred Matiang'i's name was used to execute a gold scam on unsuspecting Dubai businessmen.
On Monday, a report on The Standard, indicated that the Dubai ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was alerted that he was being scammed after a meeting with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The publication conveyed that Raila flew to Dubai and met the Sheikh who asked for his help to have his gold consignment released from JKIA.
