Alexandra Ndolo

Although born in Germany, Alexandra Ndolo switched allegiances in 2022 to represent Kenya in fencing.

In 2024, she qualified as Kenya's sole fencer for the Paris Olympics.

Born to a Polish mother and a Kenyan father, the 38-year-old is the co-founder and board member of the Kenya Fencing Federation.

She has been instrumental in establishing fencing schools in Nairobi and facilitating fencing scholarship programmes for Kenyan fencers in South Africa.

Micheal Warutere

Michael Warutere, from Riara Springs Academy,  was the top perfomer in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations.

Watutere, who scored 428 marks in the exams revealed that he would love to become a Software Engineer after completing high school. His vision is to help the country solve challenges within the ICT sector.

The budding talent explained one of the main reasons he wants to pursue the course is to use the skills to help Kenyan farmers boost agricultural productivity through using technology. 

Gideon Muriuki

Dr Gideon Muriuki is the Group Managing Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Co-operative Bank.

He has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry and has served as Co-op MD since 2021.

Under his leadership, the financial institution scooped the Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) 2023 Sustainable Finance Catalyst Award in November.

During the award ceremony, the bank was feted for striking the perfect balance between fostering a sustainable business model and prioritising the nation's future imperatives along with social and environmental concerns.

Daniel Wanyonyi

Daniel is a Kenyan heavyweight boxing champion.

The former African Boxing Union (ABU) champion came to the limelight after taking on Tanzanian boxer Karim ‘Mtu Kazi’ Madonga in January 2023 in one of the most hyped sporting contests in Kenya’s sporting history.

Mandonga ended up winning the fight via a technical knockout in the non-title super middleweight fight.

Eric Ngige

Eric Ngige is a renowned Kenyan esports gamer.

The 23-year-old is Kenya’s Fifa 23 esports champion and is nicknamed 'Demon' owing to his technical ability on the pad. Ngige is described as a rising star by Esports enthusiasts.

For instance, he hoisted Kenya’s flag in the African gamrX Championships in Nigeria and the E-Ligue 1 Tour finals.
