Eric Gitari is a former Executive Director at the National Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (NGLHRC). He is also a lawyer, teacher, researcher and author.

During his tenure at NGLHRC, Gitari championed legal and policy reforms towards equality and full inclusion of sexual and gender minorities in Kenya.

In 2015, the NGO which was headed by Gitari at the time, defended two men who had been arrested for being gay.

The organisation is owned by Nelly Cheboi - a techpreneur who was feted as CNN's Hero of the Year in 2022. 

Bowen has been recognised for teaching and breaking down code in the Swahili language on TikTok.

Such is his impact that his videos have garnered views ranging between 100,000 to 500,000.

He is a resourceful Public Relations professional with over seven years' experience in the Customer Service industry.

Mathenge, alongside other Kenyans were part of the team outsourced for training ChatGPT.
