Mishi Mboko

Mishi Mboko Juma Khamisi is a Member of Parliament representing Likoni Constituency. She trounced former MP Masudi Mwahima in the 2017 elections. 

Mishi, who is ODM’s Director of Elections, has been at loggerheads with her Malindi counterpart Aisha Jumwa, who shifted her allegiance from Raila to Ruto which has allowed Mishi to gain prominence in the ODM hierarchy in the coastal region.

Catherine Waruguru

Catherine Waruguru is the Laikipia County Women Representative, a seat she won in the 2017 General Elections. Before that, she was a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) in Laikipia County between 2013 and 2017.

Waruguru has announced her intentions to vie for the Laikipia East parliamentary seat in 2022 pitting her against the current MP Mohammed Amin.

Caleb Kositany

Caleb Kositany is the current Member of Parliament for Soy Constituency. Kositany was replaced as Jubilee Deputy Secretary-General, and his position given to his Cherangany counterpart Joshua Kutuny. 

The ouster is said to have been prompted by his dalliance with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party - despite being a Jubilee politician.

Aisha Jumwa

Aisha Jumwa is the Member of Parliament for Malindi. Her name has become almost like a permanent fixture in the media - over a number of issues in the past two years. There is no doubt that she has been the most talked-about woman politician in the Coast – and probably across Kenya.

Anne Kananu

Anne Kananu is the incumbent Nairobi Deputy Governor - a position she took over in January 2021 having remained vacant for three years.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology and Security Management from Dedan Kimathi University. She also obtained a diploma in Criminology and Security Management from St. Paul’s University in 2013.

Samson Ongeri

Samson Ongeri is the incumbent Senator for Kisii County. He was first elected to Parliament as Nyaribari MP in 1988 and was a member until 1992. 

Ongeri has served as Minister of Education from 2007 to 2012 and Foreign Minister between 2012 and 2013. He unsuccessfully vied for the Kisii senate position in 2013 before clinching the seat in 2017.

Johnson Sakaja

Johnson Sakaja is the current Senator of Nairobi County, following his election to the position on 8 August 2017 General Election in Kenya.

He served as a nominated Member of Parliament for the National Assembly since 2017 under the National Alliance party (part of the Jubilee party).
