Catherine Muraga

Catherine Muraga currently serves as the managing director of the Microsoft Africa Development Center, Nairobi.

She describes herself as a leader who is passionate about applying technology to impact lives positively.

Catherine assumed the role in 2022 and has been tasked with nurturing local innovations.

David Ndetei

Ndetei is currently the Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Nairobi. He has held the position since 1995.

In addition, he is the Founding Director of Africa Mental Health Foundation (AMHF).

Catherine Adeya

Catherine Adeya serves as the Director of Research at the World Wide Web Foundation. 

Most recently, she led the development of the East Africa Centre for Internet Governance and Policy (CIGAP) at the renowned Strathmore University in Nairobi.

Wanuri Kahiu

She is a renowned filmmaker who stood tall in the face of adversity with her controversial movie Rafiki (2018), which won her multiple awards in 2019. 

Rafiki, was banned in Kenya by the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) after it was cited for promoting the rights of LGBTQ+ community. 

Wanuri also won the Young Programmer's Choice Award at the Dublin International Film Festival 2019.

She was featured as the Next Time 100 Most Influential People in the world for her daring films.

Noordin Haji

Noordin Haji is the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). He also worked as a Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Service and worked in the Attorney General’s office for many years.

Noordin Haj has spearheaded major crackdowns on political bigwigs during his tenure. Some of the notable cases include irregular compensation in the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project, the arrest and arraignment of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu, the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal II and most recently, the disputed payments in the Arror and Kimwarer Dam projects.

Samson Kinyanjui

Sam started his career in Medical research in 1994 at the Wellcome Trust Labs in Nairobi working on malaria pharmacology studies and later moved to Kilifi for a study in immunity to malaria as part of his PhD.

As Head of Training at KEMRI-Wellcome Trust since 2008, he was in charge of conducting training and developing methodologies for capacity building in Malaria research at the East Africa region.

Damaris Parsitau

Dr. Damaris Parsitau is a gender and social justice activist, Echidna Global Scholar at the Brookings Institution, Research Associate Harvard University, USA.

She is an advocate for a just society that provides equality & adequate opportunity for women and girls

 

George Kinoti

The current Director of the DCI Kenya, George Maingi Kinoti, was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta on January 5, 2018, to replace Ndegwa Muhoro.

Before his appointment he was previously the National Police Spokesman based in the office of the Inspector General of Police.

Michael Mumo

Michael Mumo is the Editorial Director at Capital Group Limited.

He commands over a decade of journalism experience in both print and electronic media.

He is a 2007-2008 Chevening scholar who undertook his Masters degree in International Journalism at City University in London and holds a BA degree from Daystar University in Nairobi.
