William Kabogo

William Kabogo Gitau is a Kenyan politician who served as the first governor of Kiambu. Kabogo was born in Ruiru on April 4, 1961.

He attended local schools before joining Punjab University in India where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) degree. 

Johnson Muthama

Johnson Nduya Muthama is a Kenyan politician who served as Machakos Senator between 2013 and 2017. 

Muthama was born on October 20, 1954, to a peasant family in Machakos. He received modest education before leaving home in the search of informal employment.

Edwin Sifuna

Edwin Sifuna is a Nairobi-based lawyer and politician who currently serves as the Secretary General of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM). He was appointed ODM SG in 2018 to replace Ababu Namwamba who defected from the orange party in 2016.

Boniface Khalwale

Boniface “Boni” Khalwale is a Kenyan politician who served as Kakamega between 2013 and 2017. Khalwale was born in Malinya village on August 5, 1960.

He describes his upbringing as humble as his mother was a chang’aa brewer whom she fondly refers to as an industrial chemist. 

Alfred Mutua

Mutua is the governor of Machakos County since 2013 and the Party Leader of Maendeleo Chap Chap. 

The former Government Spokesperson has a BA in Journalism from Whitworth College in the United States and an MSc in Communication from Eastern Washington University. He also received his doctorate in Communication and Media from the University of Western Sydney in Australia.

Amason Kingi

Amason Kingi is the first and current governor of Kilifi County. He was elected to office in 2013 and successfully defended his seat in 2017 via the ODM ticket. 

Prior to his election as a governor, he was the Minister for Fisheries Development between 2010 to March 2013. He has also served as the Minister for the East African community between 2008 and 2010. 

Anyang’ Nyong’o

He is the current governor of Kisumu County, serving his first term after being elected into office via an ODM ticket in 2017. 

The former MP of Kisumu Rural constituency has a Degree in Political Science from Uganda’s Makerere University and has a Master's and PhD in Political Science from the University of Chicago.

Martin Wambora

He is the governor of Embu County, a seat he won on a TNA (The National Alliance) ticket in 2013 and successfully defended via the Jubilee ticket in 2017. He has survived four impeachment attempts in his career. 

Wambora previously served as the Chairman of the board of Kenya Airports Authority (KPA) before venturing into politics in 2013. 

Mukhisa Kituyi

Mukhisa Kituyi, is the immediate former UNCTAD Secretary-General and a seasoned politician.

Kituyi served in the position for seven years having taken up the job in 2013 for a four-year term before he was reappointed in 2017 for an additional term.
