Gideon Moi

Gideon Kipsiele Moi is the Senator for Baringo County and the Chairman of the independence Party – Kanu. He is the last born child of Kenya's second President Daniel arap Moi.

His family picked him as the successor to their late father’s political heritage. In the Senate, he is currently serving his second term and also chairs the Senate’s powerful committee on energy.

Wycliffe Oparanya

Oparanya is the current governor of Kakamega County serving his last term after being reelected in 2017. He is also the immediate former Chairman of the Council of Governor’s (COG), a position he handed over to Embu Governor Martin Wambora on January 29, 2021. 

Oparanya is a certified public accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). 

Francis Atwoli

The world trade leader is the Secretary-General of the Central Organisation Trade Union (COTU), a position he has held since 2001. 

He is also the General Secretary of the Kenya Plantation & Agricultural Workers Union and the President of the Pan African Labour movement, the Organization of African Trade Union Unity, OATUU.

Ali Hassan Joho

Ali Hassan Joho is the governor of Mombasa County and the Deputy Party Leader of the Orange Democratic Party (ODM). 

Joho is currently serving his second and last term as Mombasa Governor and declared his interest in the Presidency. The former Kisauni MP is seeking to vie for the 2022 presidential election via the ODM party ticket. 

Raila Odinga

Raila Odinga is the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga of Kenya - and opposition leader. 

Raila attended Kisumu Union Primary, then Maranda High School before moving to Germany for his university degree. 

William Ruto

William Ruto is the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya and the Deputy Chairman of the ruling Jubilee Party.

Ruto joined the University of Nairobi  and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Botany and Zoology before returning to the same institution for a Master’s in Plant Ecology and graduated with a PhD in 2018.

Uhuru Kenyatta

Uhuru Kenyatta is the President of the Republic of Kenya and the leader of Jubilee Party. He is the son of the founding President Jomo Kenyatta and his fourth wife Mama Ngina Kenyatta.

Uhuru was elected to the Presidency in 2013 and later re-elected in 2017 for a second term in a hotly contested General Election.

Kenneth Lusaka

Kenneth Lusaka is the second and the current speaker of the Kenyan Senate. Previously, he served as the 1st Governor of Bungoma County in Kenya.

In August 2020, The speaker had to defend himself over the heated debate around the Third Basis Revenue Allocation Formula.

Ledama Ole Kina

Ledama Ole Kina is a Kenyan politician who serves as the Senator for Narok County. Olekina was elected on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket in the August 8, 2017, general elections in Kenya.

The outspoken Narok Senator, in May 2020, briefly became the Chair of the powerful Senate County Public Accounts and Investment Committee (CPAIC).
