Raila Odinga Vows to Fire All Corrupt Jubilee Government Officials

National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga has issued a stern warning to officials working in President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration, pledging that he would break corrupt cartels shielded under the Jubilee government.

Speaking on Monday while on his campaign tour of Siaya County, Raila declared that NASA would adopt Tanzania President John Magufuli’s leadership style of zero tolerance to corruption.

“We will sack all the corrupt individuals in Jubilee government that have sunk this economy to its lowest ebb,” he proclaimed.

The Opposition chief warned the President and Deputy President William Ruto to prepare for a tough battle in the elections.

Raila’s campaign tour of the region was marred by violent chaos that led to the arrest of several people.

Trouble began after Raila advocated for six-piece voting, sparking a fight between supporters of ODM party nominees for the upcoming elections and independent candidates.

The residents expressed a show of defiance after the NASA flag bearer tried to explain why the locals should adopt the six- piece voting pattern.

The rival groups hurled stones at one another with some suffering physical injuries.

Amani National Congress leader (ANC) Musalia Mudavadi, who had accompanied the former premier, asked leaders who had lost in the primaries to support Raila’s presidential bid by shelving their political ambition for the six-piece voting pattern.

”If I and other principals including Kalonzo Musyoka decided to shelve our presidential ambitions, to support Raila, why not you?” Mudavadi pleaded.
