Churchill Raw comedian MC Jessy and Carol Nkirote Thuranira Pulei, the woman who designed President Uhuru Kenyatta's famous shirt during Jubilee Party's National Delegates Convention, surprised Igembe South MP John Mwirigi with an extreme make-over on Wednesday.
23-year old Mwirigi, who struggled to campaign due to lack of funds, hit the headlines for being the youngest MP to ever be elected to the Kenyan Parliament.
Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, MC Jessy stated that he and his friends took it upon themselves to dress up the young legislator to give him a look worthy of his status.
Mr Mwirigi has often been seen in a grey sweater that has seen better days but was pleasantly surprised when he was given the chance to choose his preferred suit from an array of top quality samples.
Aided by Jessy, Carol and Dagoretti South MP John Kiarie, Mwirigi tried out a variety of suits as he was advised on which colour combination worked best.
He was visibly impressed by his new look and exuded confidence as he looked in the mirror.
When the newly-elected Members of the 12th Parliament met for the first time for housekeeping briefings in late August, Mwirigi did not enjoy the luxury that is associated with legislators as he revealed that he boarded a matatu from Meru to Nairobi.
He then walked from downtown Nairobi to the National Assembly.
Things are set to change soon after sources revealed that a top official in the government is set to grant him an expensive car in the next few days.
