The Gift Jubilee Leader Has Promised Raila After Presidential Election

Former Funyula MP Paul Otuoma has promised to gift National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga with a bull if President Uhuru Kenyatta fails to garner more votes in Busia County.

Speaking in Kakamega County during a Jubilee rally, Dr Otuoma who defected to Jubilee ahead of the repeat presidential poll, expressed confidence that Kenyatta would clinch more votes in the Western region under his stewardship.

“In August 8, Uhuru only managed 34,000 votes. If I don’t double those votes, I promise Raila a bull,” he declared.

The Veterinary doctor who lost to Sospeter Ojaamong stated that NASA leader Raila Odinga had taken his loyalty for granted.

“I have been a diehard supporter of Raila. I voted for him after leaving the University of Nairobi in 1992 when he won the Lang’ata parliamentary seat. This means I have been in the opposition for all of my life,” Dr Otuoma said adding, “You know Raila has wanted me to retire from politics with Ababu, yet he insists he’s youthful. We challenge him to retire like Noah Wekesa, Fred Gumo and Musikari Kombo,” the Former Funyula MP explained.

 

Dr Otuoma who served as ODM Vice-chairperson has on making occasions expressed his regret for supporting the opposition leader for years.

The former Gubernatorial candidate claimed that Raila had no agenda for Western Kenya or Kenya itself.

He regretted that he remained in the Opposition yet those who broke away from Odinga's camp like Deputy President William Ruto had risen politically.

“My brother William Ruto left us in ODM still singing about baba and now he is the Deputy President. We have said enough is enough and this is why we want to support Jubilee, the winning team,” he stated.

Dr Otuoma noted that he had supported Odinga since 1992 but felt it was time to move on.

“We want to form the next Government with the people of Busia being part of President Kenyatta’s transformative agenda," he affirmed.
