How David Ndii Will Be Charged with Treason- Mutahi Ngunyi Explains

Political analyst Professor Mutahi Ngunyi on Monday revealed that National Super Alliance (NASA) strategist David Ndii would be charged with treason.

Taking to his Twitter account, Prof Ngunyi disclosed that Ndii would be charged with 'misprision of treason' which is the deliberate concealment of his knowledge of a treasonable act.

Earlier last week David Ndii was appointed as one of the seven people charged with setting up an oversight national secretariat that would be the center of the activities of the people’s assembly.

"David Ndii is being naive with his braggadocio. They will molest him in police cells and then charge him with misprision of treason," Ngunyi conveyed.

He further faulted Dr Ndii's wife, Mwende Gatabaki for talking about her undergarments on TV.

"His wife should not talk about under-clothes on TV. The Couple is being used by Baba (Raila)" Dr Ndii explained.

Dr Ndii was arrested on Sunday evening in Kwale County and his wife came out to send an urgent message to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking during a press conference in Mombasa on Monday morning, Mrs Gatabaki stated that she did not know the whereabouts of her husband and last saw him when he was being arrested.

She reminded President Kenyatta of how he (the President) wrote to the African Development Bank (AfDB) to seek her services in creating a national database.

Earlier on Monday, National Super Alliance (NASA) Lawyer Otiende Amollo who is also the Rarieda Member of Parliament revealed that the police were planning to charge Dr David Ndii with incitement to violence.

Addressing the media outside the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) offices, the lawmaker explained that Dr Ndii was set to be taken to Milimani law courts at around 2:00 pm.

"Our expectation is that at around 2:00 pm he is likely to be presented to the court with charges of incitement to violence," he stated.
