President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday named his full Cabinet and Coast Regional Coordinator, Nelson Marwa, was mentioned as the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Devolution.
However, a section of Marwa's supporters has expressed their displeasure in the appointment as they claim that he deserves a bigger position.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, Kuria community, led by their leaders, stated that the Head of State should have nominated Marwa as a Cabinet Secretary.
According to them, Marwa has worked hard on internal security matters and therefore, a PS position in the Ministry of Devolution is not enough.

Marwa has been one of the prominent figures in Kenya's fight against Al Shabaab militia and there was speculation in the past few months that he would be rewarded with a new government position.
In December, the Regional Coordinator had asked Kenyans to let the Head of State do his job as it was wrong to speculate but stated that he was ready to take any position.
"I am always ready for any task so long as it is for the interest of Kenyans and our country," he remarked.
Marwa, a holder of three Masters Degree started off as a junior district officer in Nyeri before being promoted to higher ranks.

Just last week, Marwa had declared war on strip clubs in the region stating that if girls wanted to dance naked, they should choose elsewhere to do so.
“People have lured young women to dance naked in front of men without shame. It is such a shocking and disgusting site,” he commented.
