Deputy President William Ruto and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi have finally agreed to put their differences aside and work together despite their rivalry to be the Rift Valley kingpin.
The two, who have declared their interest in the 2022 presidential election, have settled on working together for the benefit of their people.
Speaking to The Star, Kenya African National Union (KANU) Secretary General Nick Salat revealed that: "The chairman (Gideon) sent me to Ruto to tell him that we have to put the interests of the people of Baringo and other Kenyans first."

He further stated: "And the DP acknowledged that let's work together because we are here to serve Kenyans.”
According to Salat, the two decided to put their differences aside to allow President Uhuru Kenyatta to settle down in his second term to build his legacy.
Salat also divulged that the two, "are not interested in fighting anymore."
The KANU Secretary General's remarks come at a time when Ruto has moderated his abrasive politics as his succession talks take shape.
“What the country needs at the moment is politics of development. This government was elected in a democratic process,” Ruto reiterated during an inter-denominational thanksgiving prayer service at Chepkemel in Uasin Gishu County on Thursday.
“We defeated them twice last year and let them prepare for a rematch with me in 2022," Ruto highlighted.
Despite Salat noting that the administration failed to honour the pre-election promise to create Cabinet slots for KANU, he believes Kenyans longest ruling party will directly offer a helping hand to Jubilee.
Speaking on Sunday during his brother and Rongai MP Raymond Moi's homecoming ceremony, the Baringo Senator stated that he did not have a problem with the ruling party.
"Uhuru knows what he will do at the right time,” Gideon mentioned.
