Victoria Rubadiri Leaves NTV [PHOTOS]

NTV news anchor and TV host Victoria Rubadiri on Wednesday left the Nation Media Group (NMG).

In a farewell statement, NTV journalist Trevor Ombija through his social media conveyed: "Quite a teary affair saying goodbye to one of the kindest souls in the media industry Vicky Rubadiri.

"Shine on my friend, the perfect combination of beauty, brains with the heart of an angel. Shine on my friend."

Her departure comes amid speculation that she was leaving the media house after Larry Madowo left NTV for BBC as a business editor.

Earlier reports indicated that she had tendered her resignation and was expected the to join Citizen TV.

Ms Rubadiri joined NTV in 2012 starting out as a reporter and prime-time news anchor for NTV’s Weekend Edition that airs every Friday to Sunday at 9 PM.

She is also the hosted and was the producer of the Women and Power segment and the popular show Victoria’s Lounge.

Earlier in April, Royal Media Services (RMS) announced the recruitment of former NTV managing editor Linus Kaikai as the Director of Strategy and Innovation.

NTV Swahili anchor Jamila Mohammed who resigned from NTV was appointed to be the Managing Editor Swahili division.
