DP Ruto Blocks NTV Journalist Steve Juma

Deputy President William Ruto took drastic action against an NTV journalist hours after having an interview that got many Kenyans talking.

The DP blocked on Twitter NTV Crime and Investigative reporter Steve Juma after he posted a comment about the interview on his page.

In a social media post seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the journalist disclosed that his comment was also deleted.

He, however, did not reveal the contents of the tweet.

“After posting what I considered to be a fair comment on Ruto’s Twitter page following his interview on NTV, the comment was deleted and I was gagged,” read the post.

Netizens were outraged by the responses that the DP gave to questions about graft, 2022 presidency and infrastructural developments.

The interviewer Mark Masai also received an equal share of criticism after he was accused of being too lenient with the questions he asked.

The journalist joins a long list of individuals blocked by Ruto who include controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna and activist Boniface Mwangi.

In the past, the DP has not gone easy on those criticizing him on social media.

“I do not allow negative people to terrorize me. If you are going to make it your business to say negative things about me and my family I will block you,” Ruto shared on his social media post.
