Citizen TV's JKL host Jeff Koinange on Thursday came under the wrath of the online community after what many termed as an "inappropriate question to ask on live television".

Koinange had on Wednesday night interviewed COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli and insisted on questioning the trade unionist on bedroom matters.

A clearly perturbed Atwoli pleaded with the journalist to skip the question explaining that it would be embarrassing for his children and his wives to here such a discussion from him.

Here are some of the posts that were shared on the trending Twitter topic "Francis Atwoli".

The matter of Atwoli's love affair with KTN Swahili news anchor Mary Kilobi and his vast estate took preeminence during the interview despite the fact that he offered his opinion on matters of national importance as well.

Following the interview, an audio recording surfaced that was alleged to be a phone conversation between Atwoli and his first wife.

In the audio, the woman was heard pleading for the trade unionist not to repossess her matrimonial home claiming that Atwoli had abandoned her along with their children.

During the interview, Atwoli explained that he had "released the wife to politics" and that's how they had parted ways.

Here are some of the reactions shared on the discussion.

The keywords "Mary Kilobi" also trended on Google's trending searches for the day with over 10,000 hits for the day.
