Jubilee Leaders Turn Against DP Ruto in Party Election Rigging Claims

More Jubilee leaders are turning against Deputy President William Ruto after claims that he aided in election rigging during the party primaries in 2017.

As part of his war against the DP, former Jubilee Vice-Chair David Murathe unveiled the bombshell live on TV claiming that Ruto manipulated the process so as to strategically place his allies in Mount Kenya and Rift Valley.

On Wednesday, two leaders, Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura and former Mukurweini legislator Kabando wa Kabando expressed their dismay on how they were edged out during the party elections.

Mwaura claimed that the election was a sham all along while his counterpart termed the process as fraudulent.

Kabando further alleged that the rigging was intended to end careers of certain politicians in the party who were considered a threat.

Appearing in an interview on Citizen TV, Murathe explained that there was a group of people behind the chaotic nominations, which was part of the plan to facilitate the rigging.

"The first day, they started by creating some commotion in several parts of the country and we had to recall the results. The first day of the party nominations flopped," exposed the politician.

This then prompted the party to recall the elections.

"When we repeated the second nominations, all hell broke loose because some interested parties rigged out highly popular people in some of our own areas in Mount Kenya and Rift Valley and planted their own," stated Murathe.
