Oscar Sudi Faces Backlash Over Insult-Laden Attack on Simba Arati

Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi launched an insult-laden attack on Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, spelling doom on his ODM counterpart.

On Saturday, November 9, Sudi lashed out at Arati, after reports claimed he had was involved in the harassment of former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale and Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa.

Khalwale and Barasa were attacked by residents at different locations in Kibra Constituency during the by-election which took place on Thursday, November 7.

"Simba Arati ni mjinga sana na hafai kuitwa kiongozi. Pia yeye ni shetani mkubwa. (Arati is stupid and does not deserve being called a leader. He is also one big devil," Sudi posted on Facebook adding that Arati would meet the same fate he had predicted on Jubilee politicians.

Alongside his caption was a photo of Arati recuperating at Nairobi hospital in December 2014 after he was alleged to have been bitten by a fellow legislator in Parliament.

However, Sudi's sentiments attracted severe backlash as netizens narrowed down on him. Many of them were irked by his insults.

"Why Sudi? Please don't wish evil on anybody since nobody knows his or her fate. Please refrain from such utterance. Wish good on everyone, even your enemies," Langat Godfrey pleaded.

"I still remember how Jumped over the fence at Mashimoni Kibra never to return back again. At least I know where your bitterness comes from," Charles Dienya mocked.

Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, on Saturday, November 9, responded to the outrage caused by a viral video that depicted him inciting goons against his fellow MP Didmus Barasa during the Kibra polls.

The video captured a group of youth slapping the MP, pushing him around and removing his signature cap shortly after he had pleaded with Arati.

In an interview with The Standard, Arati defended himself from the accusation explaining that, in fact, he stepped in and helped save Barasa from the attackers.
