“I started an online business called thrift trendy which grew slowly where I later opened my first shop where the first stock was amounting to Ksh50,000,” Ali stated.
Ali who is commonly referred to as Nairobi West Niccur stated that he met the former Prime Minister through a friend that took him to his residence back in May this year.

The passionate fashion designer mentioned that during the first visit he ended up selling some of his designs under La Beaste Designs and Sneakers.
While he did not disclose the value of the deal to dress Raila Odinga, he described it as a lucrative one.
He noted that he has been working with the former Premier since May 2021 adding that apart from Odinga,he also dresses key figures.
“I do dress other senior personalities through my brand LA BEASTE where I have dressed the likes of Babu Owino, Khaligraph Jones, Trio Mio, Masauti, Motif the don and Breeder LW and I am thankful to all of them for believing in my style and dream of inspiring the youth to be a better version of themselves," he explained.
He highlighted that some of the challenges he is facing are due to the current pandemic.
“My biggest challenge is lack of support due to Covid-19 and more capital to expand our business into a franchise,” Ali noted.
The young man is now planning on how to grow his brand to the international market.
“For now, I’m focusing on how to grow my brand to an international market, opening branches across East Africa and Africa at large and also focusing on inspiring the youths to become a better version on themselves,” Ali stated.A photo of Raila Odinga receiving merchandise from Ali Abdi together with his friend Harry at his Karen Residence on June 12nairobi_west_niccur
