Deputy President William Ruto’s allies have launched a scathing attacking against Kitui Governor, Charity Ngilu, following her remarks that the DP was the chief architect of graft in the Jubilee administration.

On Friday, November 12, Ngilu profiled DP Ruto as a corrupt leader who worked tirelessly to sabotage the development mission of President Uhuru Kenyatta since 2013 when the two were elected into office.

But in a quick rejoinder, on Saturday, November 13, 2021, Garissa Township Member of Parliament, Aden Duale, retaliated that Ngilu was one of the most corrupt politicians that Kenya has ever had.

“The most corrupt woman in the history of Kenya is Charity Kaluki Ngilu. When she was appointed the Minister for Water by President Mwai Kibaki, instead of supplying water to Ukambani, she torched the National Water Corporation Offices,” alleged Duale.

The outspoken Legislator revisited Ngilu’s removal from office by President Uhuru Kenyatta during his first term as the Head of State.

Ngilu was sacked by Kenyatta in 2015 after serving for less than two years as the Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Housing and Urban Development.

“When Charity Ngilu was appointed Cabinet Secretary by Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto, she was the first person in Uhuru’s government to be charged in court over graft,” stated Duale.

The former National Assembly Majority Leader also played down Raila Odinga's politics, urging President Kenyatta not to allow the opposition leaders to distract him in his last days at the helm of the country.

"You have a good legacy, leave alone these guys who are surrounding you," he advised the President.

Speaking during the same event, Kiharu Member of Parliament, Ndindi Nyoro, accused Interior Principal Secretary, Karanja Kibicho, of arrogance and use of immature language in public places.

Nyoro was referencing Friday's statement by Kibicho telling off those who were against his and CS Fred Matiang’i’s involvement in politics.

The PS remained adamant that they would not be stopping playing politics, asking those who were angered by him and Matiang’i to hang themselves.

“I want to tell Kibicho, you must stop addressing Kenyan people like your kids. You must stop telling the Kenyan people that they should swallow a razor blade. Kenyans will not hang themselves, it is you who will vacate the office,” stated Nyoro.

The Deputy President took his campaign trail to President Kenyatta’s home county of Kiambu, popularizing his hustler movement which he said would address the challenges Kenyan youths are facing today.
