Another Passenger Dies in Kenya to US Flight

Another passenger succumbed aboard a New York-bound flight. 

Reports have intimated that the passenger was found unresponsive inside the flight from Nairobi. 

A statement issued on Friday, September 2, confirmed that the unnamed passenger passed away on September 2, 2022, at around 6.30 am.

"A passenger was found to be unresponsive. Upon further medical examination, personnel confirmed that the passenger had passed away.

"The flight had departed Nairobi per schedule on Thursday, September 1 at 11.55 pm," the statement read.

This becomes the second such incident to be reported in a span of two weeks. 

The passenger passed away on a flight from New York to Nairobi passed away.

Reports indicated that on arrival in Casablanca, Morocco, medical personnel at the airport found the passenger unresponsive and was confirmed to have passed away.

Reports indicated that the 66-year-old man was travelling from the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, USA en route to South Africa, via Nairobi.

JKIA commandant Morris Kiplagat confirmed that the passenger was a dual citizen of Kenya and the United States.

Police and medical records showed he developed breathing difficulties and other symptoms while in transit.

Passengers onboard told the media that medics stated that his life was in danger as his organs showed signs of rapid failure. 

The man’s family arrived at the airport and took the body to the mortuary. 

His family further confirmed that he was living with diabetes and other underlying medical conditions.
