TNA Now Abandons Aden Duale

National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale is set to fight his own war over corruption allegations leveled against him by former Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru, after the The National Alliance (TNA) party warned him to stop dragging the issue into the Jubilee coalition.

While speaking at a press conference in Nairobi, TNA officials led by Secretary General Onyango Oloo told off Duale, noting that the coalition did not send anybody on a looting mission.

“Nobody should drag the Jubilee coalition to protect him or as a threat to defend himself,” declared Oloo.

The Garissa Township MP was named in an explosive affidavit written by Waiguru with regard to the lost millions at National Youth Service (NYS).

Duale, who was furious after his name appeared in the court document, launched scathing attacks targeting Ms Waiguru whom he accused of trying to wreck the ruling coalition by picking on key leaders from the United Republican Party (URP) side.

In response to Duale's sentiments, Kieni MP Kanini Kega also called on those mentioned in the scam to avoid the circus of using the coalition (Jubilee) as a shield.

“Jubilee is not corrupt, if there are corrupt people in Jubilee, they are individuals and should carry their own cross,” stated Kega.

On Wednesday, URP MPs led by Nandi Hills lawmaker Alfred Keter and his Kapseret counterpart Oscar Sudi asked both Duale and Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen to step aside and be investigated.

The NYS scam has generated a heated political duel especially among the Jubilee coalition partners, after former CS Waiguru joined key suspect Josephine Kabura, in writing damning affidavits on how the NYS Sh791 Million was stolen and whose pockets the money ended in.
