Martha Karua has challenged Deputy President William Ruto to file for her investigation over allegations that she procured witnesses in his criminal case at the International Criminal Court.
Karua said that she had noted that in his defence Ruto had mentioned her involvement severally during his case proceedings at the Hague.
She emphasized that she was a law abiding citizen and therefore directed the DP to file for her investigation at the Director of Public Prosecution's office, if he believed that she had committed the criminal offense.
Karua added that Ruto was quite aware of his own actions that led him to be charged at the ICC.
“Mr Ruto knows very well that I have nothing to do with his tribulations at the Hague. He knows very well of the actions, his own actions that led him to be where he is,”Karua stated firmly.
This comes after a statement by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria confessing that himself together with NARC Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua had scouted for witnesses in the ICC case.
The controversial legislator indicated further that he was willing to testify for the same at the Hague-based court.
