Meet New NTV Anchor Olive Burrows

Olive Burrows is the new face of NTV prime time news replacing Victoria Rubadiri who quit earlier in May.

Coming from Capital FM News, Burrows has an impressive portfolio with over a decade in journalism in addition to holding high profile interviews.

Starting off as an attachee at KBC in 2007, the Daystar University graduate went on to contribute to a number of publications including Destination Magazine, True Love and EAM.

She has held some of the most high profile interviews, including US President Barack Obama when he visited the country in 2015.

Burrows whose middle name is Kalekye has also had a one-on-one interview with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The list of personalities interviewed by her extends to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, John Kerry in his time as US Secretary of State, the former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Jendayi Elizabeth Frazer, UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner and Melinda Gates.

At NTV, Burrows co-anchors the news with Dennis Okari whom viewers have noted they have good chemistry on air.

On their social media profiles, they have shared photos of light moments in the studio.

One that really caught the attention of many was of Burrows applying makeup on Okari.

During the ranking of 2017 Top 100 journalists, she was ranked number 82 but as she steadily becomes a household name anchoring the news we can only speculate on what position she will be in this year.
