Nelly Cheboi

Nelly Cheboi is the current Chief Executive Officer of TechLit Africa - a company that uses recycled computers to create technology-based laboratories in schools. 

The program, according to Cheboi, seeks to provide children from humble backgrounds with digital skills needed to unlock opportunities for budding talents. 

Born and bred in Mogotio, Baringo County, Cheboi's family grew up in poverty as her mother struggled to provide for her family. 

Teresa Wanjiku

Teresa Wanjiku is the founder and CEO of Clean Start Africa which helps women and children, especially those released from prison, to reintegrate into society.

The founding of her organisation was inspired by the 8 months she spent in prison for wrongful conviction. 

Wanjiku has in previous interviews narrated that she was arrested and taken to prison together with her three-month-old baby for a crime she did not commit.

She would later be released in late November 2011.

Evaline Kibuchi

Evaline Kibuchi is a global Tuberculosis (TB) advocate who has been at the forefront of TB advocacy for over 10 years.

She is currently the Chief National Coordinator at ‘Stop TB Partnership Kenya.’

Kibuchi is also a member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Civil Society Task Force, a special team put together to recommend policies geared at mitigating the spread of TB.

Wangari Kuria

Wangari Kuria is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Farmer on Fire which focuses on empowering farmers in a bid to promote food security.

She is an experienced farm project manager and an advocate for women and youth. 

Through the organisation, she runs various programs such as a single mothers farming initiative in Kajiado County.

Elizabeth Wathuti

Elizabeth Wathuti is an environmental conservation and climate activist. She is the founder of the Green Generation Initiative, and her work extends to leading and establishing the Wangari Maathai Foundation’s Youth Hub.

Elizabeth’s commitment to the environment also led to her appointment as a member of the Counties Advisory Committee (CAC) for the Upper Tana Nairobi Water Fund.

Norah Magero

Magero is a renewable energy consultant and a mechanical engineer with over four years experience in the management and design of off-grid energy utilities. 

The former student of Lugulu Girls High School co-founded both Cool Green Campaign and Drop Access.

Betty Gikonyo

Dr Betty Gikonyo is the founder and the Chairperson of Karen Hospital situated in Nairobi. 

She holds a Master's in Medicine, a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery degree, all from the University of Nairobi. 

Aaron Nanok

Aaron Nanok is an agronomist and the head of the Agri-Nutrition Unit in Turkana county.

He has been engaged in agricultural advocacy activities in Turkana by promoting Climate Smart Agriculture Technologies.

Paula Kahumbu

Dr Paula Kahumbu is the Chief Executive Officer of Wildlife Direct, an organisation that leads campaigns in wildlife conservation.

She has been leading the Hands Off Our Elephants Campaign with former First Lady Margaret Kenyatta in a campaign aimed at ending poaching.
