Francis Amonde

At just 30 years old, Francis Amonde has managed to keep hundreds of learners in school even as the country wages the worst drought in decades.

His idea to start Cup of Uji, an initiative aimed at supplying flour to schools from low income areas, kicked off in 2011 after he noted that some pupils attended school on an empty stomach.

Githinji Gitahi

Since 2015, Dr Githinji Gitahi has been at the helm of Amref Health Africa spearheading its operations across several countries within the country. He serves as its Group Chief Executive Officer.

The organisation, which is the largest African-led international organisation, has been at the forefront of championing for health breakthroughs in Kenya - fighting diseases such as Tuberculosis.

Kennedy Odede

Kennedy Odede is a community worker and founder of the Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) - an organisation based in Kibera slums.

Through his intervention, the organisation- founded in 2004- has been able to help thousands of slum dwellers through food relief, health care and economic initiatives.

Nelly Cheboi

Nelly Cheboi is a community worker and a social entrepreneur, who has changed the lives of thousands of Kenyans.

Cheboi, who hails from a little village in Baringo County, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Technologically Literate (TechLit) Africa - her own firm.

Elizabeth Wathuti

Elizabeth Wathuti is an environmental conservation and climate activist.

She is also the founder of the Green Generation Initiative and sustainability analyst at Sustainable Square, Kenya

Wathuti is a recipient of the Wangari Maathai Scholarship award a recognition she got for her commitment to championing the conservation of the environment

Annabell Waititu

Annabell Waititu is an executive director at the Institute of Environment and Water Management (IEWM).

She is a natural resource management expert and has worked in environmental advocacy for over 5 years. 

Toseef Din

Dr Toseef Din is the current Chief Executive Officer of the MP Shah Hospital situated in Nairobi. 

She is an accomplished management professional with an experience of over 20 years in healthcare management. 

Josephine Ekiru

Josephine Ekiru is a Kenyan dedicated to wildlife conservancy whose efforts are being felt the world over.

As the country battles a ravaging drought affecting wildlife, Ekiru has dedicated her time to saving the crucial animals hence saving the country's tourism.

Eric Muli

Eric Muli is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lipa Later, a consumer credit platform that operates in the Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL) model.

A graduate from Babson College in the US co-founded Jostle, an action marketing company that provides unique solutions to traditional advertising targeting 18-24-year-olds in November 2013.

Sitawa Wafula.

Wafula is a three-time award winning mental health and epilepsy crusader.

Some of her outstanding accolades include the Google Africa Connected Winner 2014, the

2013 Activist of the Year and the 2013 East Africa Youth Philanthropist.
