The body of a 22-year-old university student who was reported missing seven days ago has been found dumped inside a coffee plantation in Kirinyaga County.

According to reports, the woman, who was a student at an Embu institution, went missing on Sunday, November 16, after going shopping at Kiamutugu Town.

The woman's body was severely disfigured when it was discovered, according to family members who claimed to have learnt about it on Sunday morning, November 23.

Residents who discovered the body said that it had been destroyed with acid and was missing both its arms and head.

"I was called and told that there is a body that has been found here, and when we came here, we saw that the body is in a bad state, and it is missing some parts. This is a very sad thing," said one of the girl's relatives.

"I'm the uncle to the lady, and on Sunday, after coming back from school, she went to Kiamutugu, according to what we heard, and after that, she did not go back home," another relative of the lady said.

Residents have now urged security agencies in the area to kickstart investigations to determine what circumstances led to the death of the lady.

South C Murder

The report came days after a 30-year-old boda boda was found dead inside an apartment in South B, where he had delivered an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

After confronting the tenants about unpaid bills, the owner of the rental apartments conducted an inspection and discovered the body of the boda boda rider.

The room was occupied by three men who had already left by the time the apartment manager discovered the body.

Police found the victim's body under a bed in the apartment with his legs and head tied and a scarf in his mouth.

Following an inspection of the apartment, security agencies managed to recover a knife and a metal rod that are believed to have killed the man, as well as the phone that he was delivering.

An autopsy conducted on his body revealed that he succumbed to blunt trauma to his head.
