Kitisuru MCA Alvin Palapala has claimed that his life is in danger following a disagreement with Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
The politician alleged that his woes began when he questioned Sonko's haphazard dismissal of County executives.
Over the weekend, Palapala attended the opening of Kangemi recreational park in Kangemi leading to an altercation with Sonko's supporters.
“The governor was in the area earlier in the week and he soiled my name, saying he gave me Kshs.3 Million meant for youth and I squandered it. So I went to the event so that I could clear my name in public,” he was quoted by the Star.
The MCA claimed that the youth allied to the County head approached him with a placard reading ‘Palapala heshimu Sonko.’

That is when the goons, attacked him and his hired security, Palapala alleged that some had knives and pangas.
“They knocked me down and started beating me. But my bouncers were seriously hurt because as they were shielding me, the goons turned on them. They were injured on the head, legs, hands and the back. Some had panga cuts and are still in hospital,” he explained.
The ward rep added that he reported the matter at Kabete police station under OB /53/4/8/2018.
Sonko's team denied the allegations, adding that the MCA had in a previous address shown disrespect to Sonko's late mother.
Other MCAs present in the event told the Governor not to be disrupted by naysayers and the critics who oppose Sonko’s style of leadership.
“Don’t give room to critics to disrupt your agenda. Focus to deliver what Nairobians elected you do do, Bwana Governor.
“Governor, do not worry about them. We are actually very happy that some prominent people, including lawyer Ahmednasir, are realizing your efforts and have congratulated you on this, therefore, continue doing what you do best,” Baba Dogo Ward representative Godfrey Majiwa assured.
