Kuria Savagely Responds to Duale After Citizen TV Interview

Two Jubilee legislators, Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, and Garissa Town MP, Aden Duale, were involved in a war of words, on Tuesday, after Duale attacked Kuria alongside other former and aspiring presidential candidates on Citizen TV.

In every election there are jokers. In 2022, it will be a 2-horse race. The rest are donkeys. In every election, there are jokers. Like in 2013, we had Abduba Dida, Martha Karua and Peter Kenneth. Kuria is a joker.

I can tell you for free. The presidential contest in 2022 will be between 2 people- William Ruto and Raila Odinga,” Duale told Citizen TV’s Hussein Mohamed.

The comments did not please Kuria, who has declared an interest in running for the highly coveted seat.

It is a funny world. How can a camel (Duale) elected by 2000 people call others donkeys? How now?” Kuria wondered through a post on his Facebook page.

In August, Kuria launched his own party, Transformational National Alliance Party.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke on phone, Kuria enthusiastically stated that he was looking forward to challenging the top parties and he was confident that his party will have an impact on the country's politics.

This will be the biggest party in Kenya after 2022,” Kuria stated.

In the live Citizen TV interview, Duale further fully pledged his support for DP Ruto.

"Ruto is not the kind of person you abandon. He is a strong politician. I will support him in 2022. If he becomes President, I will retire and even serve as State House Clerk,” Duale asserted.
