EACC Reveals Top 8 Most Corrupt Ministries

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has released a report outlining the top eight most corrupt ministries in the country following a survey.

The Interior and Coordination Ministry was the most affected by graft, standing at 40.3 percent, with the Health Ministry coming in second at 14.3 percent.

The survey rated the Lands Ministry at 11.3 percent, Education at 9.9 percent, Transport and Infrastructure (6.1 percent), Devolution and Planning (5.1 percent), Defence (3.5 percent) and Agriculture (2.4 percent).

The perception research carried out by EACC also showed that most Kenyans (73.9 percent) believed that corruption level in the country had increased compared to 2012 when the level stood at 67.7 percent.

The report disclosed at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) also showed that corruption at the Police Service had fallen from 48.1 percent in 2012 to 31.9 percent in 2015.
