Wall Caves In on Unsuspecting Traders

Three people were rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, November 4, after the wall of an aging house they were working in collapsed on them.

According to a report by Musyi FM, several people are still trapped inside the house in the incident that happened at Grogan area of Machakos County.

An emergency response team is currently at the scene of the incident. 

More reports indicated that the house was being used for woodworks like carpentry and was also a timber yard.

Earlier in the day, a two-storey building also collapsed in Kitere, Rongo Sub-County, Migori on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

In October 2019, deaths were reported after a two-storey building under construction collapsed at Butali market in Kakamega.

Speaking to Citizen TV, Martin Bulimu a local correspondent, claimed that the quality of sand used during construction was being blamed for the untimely collapse.

In September 2019, a classroom full of pupils collapsed at Precious Talent School along Ngong Road in Nairobi.

Confirming the incident, Kenya Red Cross stated that emergency teams had responded and were working to evacuate the injured.

Seven pupils died while 64 pupils were taken to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for treatment.
