Uhuru Kenyatta

Uhuru Kenyatta was the fourth President of the Republic of Kenya - a position he served for two terms between 2013 and 2022, under the Jubilee party. 

Son to the country’s founding president, Jomo Kenyatta, Uhuru was often perceived as the heir to the proverbial throne. 

Mumbi Maina

Mumbi Maina is a Kenyan actor popularly known for her role in the Soap Opera known as Mali.

The Actor began her career in 2009 and has featured in both local and international films.

Mumbi has also featured in the popular Netflix series Sense 8, where she acted as Zakia.

In September 2021, Mumbi announced on her social media platforms that she would be in the popular sci-fi, The Matrix.

Mumbi was the only Kenyan to have been cast in the famous movie.

Raila Odinga

Raila is the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader who served as the Prime Minister of Kenya from 2008 to 2013.

An alumni of Kisumu Union Primary School and Maranda High School, Raila spent two years at the Herder Institute, part of the philological faculty at the University of Leipzig in East Germany. In 1970, he graduated with a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Eunice Wanjiru Njoki (Mammito)

Eunice Wanjiru Njoki popularly known as Mammito is a standup comedian famously known for her performances at Churchill Show.

She is also a scriptwriter and does online comedy skits.

On her YouTube channel, the comedian has much of her content surpassing over half a million views.

Mammito partnered with various comedians to create comical content during the 2022 August election season such as the likes of Terrence Creative and Njugush among others.

Tabitha Karanja

Tabitha Karanja is Keroche Breweries Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a liquor company based in Nakuru County.

She is also the current Nakuru Senator.

In 2022, Karanja transitioned from being a corporate guru to becoming the Nakuru Senator. Her successful political journey began by bagging a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket beating five other candidates in the nomination exercise.

Karanja was crowned the August 9 General Election winner after trouncing her nine competitors in the crowded Nakuru Senatorial race. 

William Ruto

William Ruto is the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. 

Born and bred in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County, to Daniel Cheruiyot and Sarah Cheruiyot, Ruto has amassed over three decades of experience in politics. 

Lawrence Macharia

Lawrence Macharia popularly known as Terrence Creative is a creative director, content developer, scriptwriter and talent manager.

Terrence, who is also a comedian and has worked at Kenya’s most popular comedy show Churchill as a creative director, has continued to rise to fame through his parody skits that imitate Kenyan politicians.

The 2022 August general elections provided Terrence an opportunity to display his creativity within the comedy industry.

Johnson Sakaja

Johnson Sakaja is the current Governor of Nairobi County, following his election to the position on the August 9, 2022, General Election. 

He previously served as the County's Senator for five years between 2017 and 2022. The politician has worked at Pricewatercoopers (PwC), and a cyber cafe before setting up a financial consultancy firm, Arthur Johnson Consultants. '

Over his political career, Sakaja is renowned for championing the rights of school-going children to access at least one meal a day by sponsoring the National School Lunch Bill.

James Mwangi

Dr James Mwangi is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Equity Bank.

In June, Mwangi was feted the Top CEO of the Year award at the 2022 Think Business Banking Awards for his sterling leadership of the bank over the years.

The bank was also named the Best Bank in Kenya at the June awards.

Gideon Muriuki

Dr Gideon Muriuki is the Group Managing Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Co-operative Bank.

He has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry and has served as Co-op MD since 2021.

Under his leadership, the financial institution scooped the Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) 2022 Sustainable Finance Catalyst Awards in October.
