Vimal Shah

Vimal Shah is the founder and former CEO of Bidco that manufactures edible oils. He founded the company alongside his father and brother in 1985.

In 2019, the company expanded into the food and beverage category as a move that positions the company to become the leading manufacturer of consumer goods in East Africa.

It boasts of a portfolio of over 40 brands with over 25,000 employees.

Bharat Thakrar

Bharat is the founding shareholder of the WPP-Scangroup and current CEO of the WPP-Scangroup PLC.

He has working experience in advertising and communications spanning over thirty six years.

He holds a Diploma in Advertising and Marketing from the Communications and Marketing Foundation – UK.

He is a former chairman of the Advertising Practitioners Association (APA) and is a member of the Advertising Standards Board.

 

Wachira Waruru

Wachira Waruru is the Group Managing Director of Royal Media Services which owns Citizen TV, Inooro TV and 12 other radio stations.

In September this year, under his supervision, the station’s elite investigative reporters Asha Mwilu and Waihiga Mwaura exposed brazen corruption that cost the Maasai Mara University approximately Ksh190 million.

Vice-Chancellor Mary Walingo was kicked sent on compulsory leave on Wednesday, September 11, soon after the damning exposé on Citizen TV.

Yusuf Haji

Born on December 23, 1940, in Garissa District in the North Eastern Province (Northern Frontier District).

For his post-secondary education, Haji earned a diploma from the University of Birmingham, where he majored in Management and Finance Control.

Haji began his professional career in administration and management. He joined the Provincial Administration of Kenya as a District Officer and went on to serve as Provincial Commissioner between 1970 and 1997.

She has a wealth of experience in leadership and Human Resource Management having worked in senior HR roles as CEO and consultant for Nuevo consulting.

David Ndii

David Ndii is Managing Director of Africa Economics. He rose to the national limelight after he caused a stir by posting a controversial document titled “petition for self- determination,” credited to be behind the secession calls.

David Ndii co-founded the Institute of Economic Affairs, Kenya’s first independent policy think tank. He advised the NARC administration on the Economic Recovery Strategy (ERS) credited with the post-2003 recovery of the Kenyan economy.

Edward Ouko

Edward Ouko was the Auditor-General of the Republic of Kenya who was appointed on August 27, 2011. He was also an auditor-general at the African Development Bank (AfDB).

Jane Kiringai

Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) chairperson, Jane Kiringai, was elected chairperson of the forum of Chairpersons of Constitutional Commissions and Independent Offices at the seventh annual congress held in Meru from the 10th to 12th of October, 2018.

She started her career journey as an economist at the National Treasury in the early 90s. Kiringai also served as a senior economist at the World Bank Kenya.

Mukhisa Kituyi

Mukhisa Kitui, of Kenya, became UNCTAD's seventh Secretary-General on 1 September 2013. After serving an initial four-year term, he was reappointed by the General Assembly in July 2017 for an additional term that began on 1 September that year.

He was elected to the Kenyan Parliament in 1992, and was twice re-elected.

From 2008 to 2012, Dr. Kituyi was a member of a team of experts advising the presidents of the nations of the East African Community on how to establish more effective regional economic links.

Nzioka Waita

Chief of Staff and Head of the Presidential Delivery Unit , The Executive Office Of The Presidency Government Of Kenya. Nzioka is also a founding Trustee of the Safaricom Foundation, a role he has held from August 2003.
