Karanja Kibicho

Karanja KIbicho is the Principal Secretary, State Department for Interior. He holds a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, a Masters of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering.

Zuleikha Hassan

The Kwale Woman Representative studied at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Development and Social Transformation with coursework in the fields of Environmental and Geographic Sciences, Gender Studies, History, Politics, Social Anthropology and Sociology.

She stole headlines when she was ordered out of Parliament in August 2019 for carrying her 5-month-old baby into the chambers.  

Ken Okoth

The late Kibra MP Ken Okoth will be remember for years to come due, to his track record as well the bravery he showed during his battle with cancer. 

Few politicians can be described as dedicated legislators who are connected well with their people and Ken Okoth was one of them.

He was known for his development agenda, particularly championing literacy and education, with Mbagathi Girls High School as one of his legacy projects. 

Fred Matiang'i

Fred Matiang'i is the CS in charge of the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government. 

Going by the dockets and responsibilities that President Uhuru Kenyatta entrusted him with in 2019, Matiang'i comes out as his confidant and right-hand man.

Twice in 2019, President Kenyatta assigned more powers to the CS.

In January 2019, the president, through an Executive Order, appointed the Interior CS to head all government projects.

Rachel Ruto

Rachel Ruto is the Second Lady of Kenya. During her tenure, she has become an advocate for women's rights and women's empowerment.



Through the Joyful Women Organization, she has spurred a table banking initiative throughout Kenya, and spreading to the rest of Africa.

She regularly holds prayer meetings and is heavily involved in the church.

Yusuf Haji

Born on December 23, 1940, in Garissa District in the North Eastern Province (Northern Frontier District).

For his post-secondary education, Haji earned a diploma from the University of Birmingham, where he majored in Management and Finance Control.

Haji began his professional career in administration and management. He joined the Provincial Administration of Kenya as a District Officer and went on to serve as Provincial Commissioner between 1970 and 1997.

Lyn Mengich

Lyn Mengich is the chairperson of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC). She is a leader and HR professional with over 25 years of cross-industry experience holding top-level positions in a wide range of publicly traded and private organisations.

She has a wealth of experience in leadership and Human Resource Management having worked in senior HR roles as CEO and consultant for Nuevo consulting.

David Ndii

David Ndii is Managing Director of Africa Economics. He rose to the national limelight after he caused a stir by posting a controversial document titled “petition for self- determination,” credited to be behind the secession calls.

David Ndii co-founded the Institute of Economic Affairs, Kenya’s first independent policy think tank. He advised the NARC administration on the Economic Recovery Strategy (ERS) credited with the post-2003 recovery of the Kenyan economy.

Edward Ouko

Edward Ouko was the Auditor-General of the Republic of Kenya who was appointed on August 27, 2011. He was also an auditor-general at the African Development Bank (AfDB).

Jane Kiringai

Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) chairperson, Jane Kiringai, was elected chairperson of the forum of Chairpersons of Constitutional Commissions and Independent Offices at the seventh annual congress held in Meru from the 10th to 12th of October, 2018.

She started her career journey as an economist at the National Treasury in the early 90s. Kiringai also served as a senior economist at the World Bank Kenya.
